This Tie

First image is from 2008/9. The second is my remake of it. I took inspiration from a collection of anime artists (there are any specific ones exactly that I looked at...) that have this sort of...very clean, simple style. The theme that I picked up on, is this sort of emphasis on color, planes, and graphic shapes.

I think I over did the shading and everything though. It's still not as simple as I'd like it to be. But it's still a confusing, painful yet fun experience all the same. :)

minty landscape

A quick speedpaint today. Thinking about expanding it and making the canvas wider, painting more huge clouds, and perhaps adding some sort of flying beast(s) in the sky. We'll see.

Oh man, I wore a skirt today. As in casually. And kinda liked it! Super comfortable. I think I saw another woman in her late 50's in a similar outfit. So not surprised.
